Back in the day, which was a Wednesday by the way, a friend of mine showed me this amazing site called Deviantart. Well, not the whole site, but two artist's work to be precise:
's little series of funny dudes: and 's
At the time, seeing how someone could make these digital art pieces blew my mind since, until then, I had always done my artwork in colored pencils and anything past that went into “professional” level. Soooo, so, so, after many months on Sheezyart [I know, I know...], I decided to leave that site and make my way over to good ol' DA.
The first few art pieces I ever post online were actually uploaded onto my first ever DA account:
but after like a month, I got bored of all online-art sites and decided to leave, but as we all know by now, I decided to come back and here I still am. I still used colored pencils for the first year or so, but after some thinking, I wanted to try my hand at digital painting, but alas, all I had was a mouse, and no spiffy-lookin' tablets, so off I went into the adventure of MouseLand!
The first few years I was on DA, I began to obsess over a few amazing artists and began to despair at my lack of skills compared to them. When I saw my artwork, and then saw the artworks uploaded by my art idols: [after some tracking down, found a line art by her]>/i>, but over time I have learned that my style may never be as good as theirs, but its my style and I do love it. And hey- it will change, after all, it hasn't stopped changing yet
I have always loved drawing fanart, and with my dumb observations I began making more and more fancomics about my favorite shows, which included Pokemon and Naruto. Over time, more and more followers began to like my silly comics and I began cranking out more and more. Right before graduating high school, I noticed that my friends and I were on a whole new level of stupid and could probably make a few people chuckle and giggle here and there so I decided to come out with an original series called Aww Dude. To my surprise, it became popular and, what I had thought would be a couple comics, became a full-fledged series with FANS! Can you believe it?! People were drawing fanart of MY FRIENDS AND I! It blew my mind!
So, thanks to everyone and everything for these amazing years and for those to come!
~Yoru. Still here, just really tired
